Over the course of five days, around 200 prospective students and their parents visited the office. For many families, the event marked the first significant step towards choosing a university abroad and a profession that would shape a young person’s future career. Graduates of Algerian secondary schools had the opportunity to discuss study options at Russian state universities in person, compare academic programmes, learn about admission procedures, required documents, tuition fees and accommodation costs, and receive guidance on invitation letters, student visas and travel arrangements to Russia.

The consultations focused not only on prospective students themselves but also on their families, who play a key role in making the final decision. Parents asked about accommodation, student adaptation, the organisation of academic life and the support provided after arrival. RACUS GROUP employees in Algeria gave visitors detailed information about the journey of an international student — from the initial consultation to the start of studies and subsequent life in the university city.

As in previous years, programmes in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, engineering and technical fields attracted the greatest interest. Programmes taught in English and French were also in high demand. All exhibition visitors received promotional and informational brochures about studying in Russia and its universities, as well as branded souvenirs.

Such meetings are particularly valuable for young people in Algeria, as they enable them to make informed decisions about their future based on comprehensive and professional guidance. When it comes to studying abroad, choosing the right university and receiving reliable support are especially important.
