Mari State University

Now, Yoshkar-Ola is rightfully considered a student city: more than 20,000 students from more than 50 countries study at the city’s universities. The largest educational center is the Mari State University.

The strongest training in medical specialties deserves a special mention: Mari State University is included in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) of the World Health Organization with ECFMG Sponsor Note and is also indicated in the list of foreign medical universities of the General Medical Council of the UK, that is, higher medical education received at the University is recognized in any country of the world.
