From January 17 to 22, 2026, a delegation of the RACUS GROUP of Russian State Universities successfully conducted education exhibitions and seminars in schools across three major Zambian cities: Lusaka, Ndola, and Kitwe. Education exhibitions and seminars in Zambia have been held annually since 2001, when the RACUS GROUP representative office started operating in the country, making 2026 the 25th anniversary. This event opened new horizons for young people aspiring to receive quality education in Russian universities in the fields of medicine, engineering, and economics.
Zambia became the second of 77 countries where in 2026 the RACUS GROUP plans to organize various education exhibitions and other events across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America to promote the Study in Russia brand.
The main goal of the exhibitions in Zambia was to promote Russian higher education and attract and recruit Zambian school graduates to study at RACUS-affiliated Russian universities.
Over 1,500 applicants and their parents received colorful brochures at the exhibitions and seminars, containing general information about studying in Russia, as well as details about medical, engineering, and economic universities.
The exhibitions featured educational institutions from 8 countries across Europe and Asia, with the RACUS GROUP being the sole participant from Russia.
Traditionally, the most popular among exhibition visitors were well-known universities in Zambia, such as Tambov State University, Mari State University, Astrakhan State Medical University, Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy and South-Russian State Polytechnic University. These universities successfully implement programs in both Russian and English.
RACUS-affiliated universities provide over 1,200 programs in demand on the global job market. Students at Russian universities benefit from strong ties between academia and industry, ensuring a structured and accessible transition from studies to building a career.
