On April 11-12, 2025, the largest city in the south of Morocco, Agadir, hosted an international education exhibition for high school graduates of 2025. The fair was organized by the career guidance center with the assistance of the prefecture of Agadir and the Ministry of Education. The event gathered representatives from Moroccan universities, colleges, and institutes, as well as from foreign universities. Russian higher education was represented by the RACUS organization, a group of Russian state universities, which was the one and only official representative of Russia at the forum.
The employees of the RACUS General Representative Office in Morocco, RACUSMAROC (Rabat), worked at the Study in Russia—2025 stand, providing the visitors with comprehensive information about Russian higher education in medicine, engineering, IT and humanities, languages of studies (Russian, English, and French); admission and living conditions. Such programs as Medicine, Agro-engineering, Energy, Information Technology, Robotics and Architecture aroused a particular interest among applicants.
The Souss-Massa region, with Agadir as its administrative center, is known for its well-developed agricultural industry, especially in the production of citrus fruits, as well as the active development of tourism and fisheries. In recent years, the region has also focused on the development of renewable energy technologies, including solar power, which has resulted in a high demand for engineering and technology professionals.
The RACUS organization pays special attention to the development of international cooperation in the sphere of higher education between Russia and Morocco, actively participating in education fairs and holding a great number of its own Study in Russia educational seminars and informative meetings for applicants and their parents. Participation in the Agadir fair has become a part of a large-scale advertising and information campaign promoting Russian higher education in North African countries.
