On October 14, 2025, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Valery Falkov, reported on the growth of a number of foreign citizens, studying at Russian universities in 2025. According to the Ministry, today more than 414,000 foreign students from 184 countries of the world study at higher education institutions of Russia, and this number continues to grow. By 2030, Russia plans to enroll up to half a million of foreign students.
The contribution of the RACUS GROUP of Russian state universities in achieving these goals is significant. In 2025, RACUS GROUP organisation held more than 200 educational events in 77 countries of the world, aiming at promotion of Russian higher education and attraction of foreign citizens to study at Russian universities. Due to the 35-year work experience in foreign countries, the RACUS GROUP makes a significant contribution to the implementation of the state strategy for the development of education export and strengthening the international image of Russian higher education.
Universities of the RACUS GROUP actively support the initiatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, improving the educational programs, expanding the language opportunities (education is available in Russian, English and French) and creating the modern conditions for studying, scientific research and intercultural interaction, actively modernizing its infrastructure through the creation of modern campuses and dormitories.
The growing number of foreign students confirms that Russian higher education remains competitive, demanded and affordable for the talented young people from all over the world.
