The Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy presented the RACUS organization with an antique map of North Africa as a token of appreciation for its active and effective efforts in promoting the academy in North African countries. The unique exhibit from 1890 depicts the historical territory of modern Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria and was printed in the cartographic institution of Alexei Ilyin in Saint Petersburg. The map was presented to the general director of the RACUS organization, A. Nutsalov, by the rector of the academy, V. Luzhanin, and will be kept in the RACUS organization as a memorable gift.
This ceremonial gesture followed the successful participation of the academy’s rector in the international education exhibition held in Casablanca (Kingdom of Morocco) from April 10–13, 2025, at the invitation of the RACUS organization. At the Study in Russia—2025 booth, V. Luzhanin personally presented the Academy to visitors and held negotiations with six Moroccan universities. The exhibition highlighted a strong interest among the Moroccan audience in pharmaceutical programs offered by the Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy. The Rector’s visit, organized by RACUS, to one of Morocco’s leading universities—Hassan II University—and the negotiations conducted with its leadership marked an important step toward further cooperation between the Academy and Hassan II University.
Since 2023, the Academy has successfully implemented a French-language Pharmacy program, which is increasingly in demand among international applicants. In 2025, at the request of the RACUS organization, the list of available programs was expanded with the launch of a new postgraduate program for graduates of pharmaceutical universities/institutes: Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics (Clinical Biology).
The Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy is a member of the RACUS group of Russian state universities and holds a strong position among leading educational institutions in Russia for training international specialists in the field of pharmacy.
The General Director of RACUS, A. Nutsalov, expressed deep gratitude for the trust and the warm gesture from the Academy, stating, “We will continue to make every effort to actively promote the Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy on the international stage.” In turn, Academy’s Rector, V. Luzhanin, noted the success of the recent events in Morocco and emphasized the importance of further expanding the Academy’s academic presence abroad.
