On March 7-9, 2023, Group of Russian State Universities RACUS took part in the largest international education exhibition in Egypt (Cairo) EDUGATE – 2023. The exhibition was held in the luxurious modern Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski hotel in Cairo and brought together the representatives of leading universities from all continents. Among the participating countries there were Russia, Germany, France, the USA, the UK, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Malaysia and others.

Over 15,000 guests visited the exhibition in three days. In the 12 years of its existence, EDUGATE has gained unprecedented trust and huge popularity among educational institutions from all over the world. Today EDUGATE is not just an exhibition, but a real celebration in the field of innovations in the international education sphere, a meeting place for experts in the education industry, a platform for international experience exchange, and, of course, the "melting pot" of the most refined education programs in the world.

The bright colorful stand of RAСUS organization was like a magnet for young people studying in high schools and their parents, who showed active interest in obtaining a prestigious higher education in the TOP 20 universities of Russia (you can check the full list of universities on our website WWW.EDURUSSIA.RU). Medical, engineering and marine programs were especially popular.

A wide choice of 1,200 specialties, fundamental universities with 100 years of history, the opportunity to study in English, Russian or French, modern equipment of classrooms and laboratories, the opportunity to gain practical experience in international companies during their studies – all these definite advantages have caused a stir at the stand of RACUS organization and the genuine interest of visitors who drowned in the abundance of choice of the specialties available. The employees of the RACUS group of Russian state universities devoted time to each guest of the stand, consulted them on the admission process to the selected university and handed out colorful advertising and information booklets and souvenirs: bright pens with the organization's logo, stylish wooden rulers and spacious designer bags.

Information about the universities-members of RACUS group recognized by the Egypt Supreme Council of the Universities on January 21, 2023, was in the highest demand, namely, the visitors were interested in the universities which offer General Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy programs with training in Russian, English and French: Astrakhan State Medical University, Saratov State Medical University, Tambov State University, Privolzhsky Research Medical University, and St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University. Also, Egyptian youth, taking into account the large navy and access to the Mediterranean Sea, showed keen interest in studying at the leading and largest maritime university in the world, Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping with more than 240 years of history.

The exhibition was visited by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Egypt, Mr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour. Also the general director of RACUS organization A. Nutsalov held warm meetings with the heads of the representative offices from 7 cities of Egypt. At the meetings, further suggestions to promote the universities-members of RACUS group in Egypt and extensive plans to hold educational exhibitions in 2023 to attract Egyptian applicants to study were discussed.

"Study in Russia" brand has once again taken its place on the podium. We would like to remind you that in 2022 Russia confidently entered the TOP 3 countries of the world in terms of the number of foreign students (with 400,000 people), and the trends of 2023 predict this figure to grow even more.
