Official reception for the principals of private schools in Kigali: cooperation between the RACUS organization and the best private schools in Rwanda to promote Russian higher education

On July 4, 2024, in the restaurant of the Four Points by Sheraton hotel, the RACUS organization held an official reception for the principals of the 14 most prestigious private schools in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. The event was dedicated to discussing the cooperation of the RACUS organization and leading private schools in Kigali in the matter of holding educational seminars in schools to promote the Study in Russia brand among their students.

During the meeting, the General Director of the RACUS organization Avbakar Nutsalov provided exhaustive information on the rules of admission of foreign citizens to study at Russian universities, living in student hostels, and holding sports and entertainment events with students. All stages of admission were covered: from applying and processing a visa to getting admission to a university and obtaining a diploma. The guests were also given a presentation of educational programs available in English and French, which aroused particular interest from school principals.

Special attention was paid to the advantages of studying in Russia, such as a high level of education, affordable tuition and accommodation fees, as well as the rich cultural and scientific traditions of Russia. The heads of private schools noted the importance of such interaction and expressed their willingness to work closely with the RACUS organization to popularize Russian higher education among their students.

In 2024, the RACUS Organization plans to allocate several Bright Future scholarships from its funds for the most talented students from Rwanda who have successfully graduated from school and expressed a desire to study at one of the Russian universities-members of the RACUS Group.

All the guests expressed their deep gratitude to the RACUS organization for the warm welcome and highly professional preparation of the event, and the photos taken at the dinner will remain as a long memory. School principals noted that the information received will help them orient their students in matters of higher education in Russia better.

The reception for principals of private schools in Kigali became the first and important step towards strengthening cooperation and popularizing Russian higher education in Rwanda. The RACUS Organization plans to continue its active work in this direction, providing young people with access to a quality higher education at Russian universities popular among foreign students from southern Africa.

The RACUS Organization thanks all the participants of the event and intends to hold similar events in a larger format in the upcoming years. Education is the path to success, and we are glad that we can help young people from Rwanda to discover new horizons in Russian higher education.
