Meeting of the General Director of RACUS with V.N. Hatuntsev, Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tunisia
On the initiative of the General Director of RACUS organization, a special dinner was held in honor of V.N. Hatuntsev, Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tunisia. The dinner was not only assisted by the Director himself, but also by Marina Alimaskina-Bouattour, Head of the Representative office of RACUS in Tunisia, and Tatiana Osadchaya, Adviser to the Rector for International Affairs of Tambov State University.
In the meeting, they discussed the events held by RACUS organization for the popularization and promotion of Russian higher education in Tunisia, including the events organized during the official visit of RACUS to Tunisia in October. V. Hatuntsev was informed about the meetings with the administration of the Medical Faculty of the University of Monastir and the vice-president of the University of Carthage. Also, the parties discussed future plans for working with the Russian Centre for Culture and Science in Tunis.
A special attention was paid to developing a strategy for popularization and promoting Russian higher education in the Republic of Tunisia. A. Nutsalov also mentioned large-scale plans for organizing events, including “Study in Russia 2023” educational fair in Tunisia and grandiose advertising campaigns for 2023. These events are designed to boost partnership between the two countries that started in 2019 after the first summit “Russia-Africa” in Sochi. The second summit is planned for 2023 and will be held in Saint Petersburg.The parties agreed to cooperate and work together for organizing educational events in Tunisia. Also, several other matters of mutual interest were discussed. RACUS organization expresses its gratitude to V.N. Hatuntsev for accepting the invitation and a fruitful conversation. Thanks to the partnership between RACUS organization and the Embassy of Russia in Tunisia, the promotion of Russian higher education in Tunisia will reach new levels.
