The group of Russian state universities RACUS has started a large-scale tour across India, covering 13 cities, to present higher medical education at Russian state universities that are members of the RACUS group. The first exhibitions took place on May 10 in Noida and Chennai, followed by Ahmedabad and Latur on May 13.

Each of these cities has its own unique character and growing interest in the field of medicine. Noida, as part of the Delhi metropolitan area, stands out for its modern medical centers and high level of digitalization. Chennai is a recognized medical hub of southern India. Ahmedabad, located in the state of Gujarat, is rapidly advancing in healthcare, while Latur is actively investing in medical education.

The General Medicine (MBBS) program at Russian state universities of the RACUS group is particularly popular among Indian youth due to its high quality, the opportunity to study in English, and recognition by India’s National Medical Commission (NMC). Alongside its high standards, a significant advantage of higher medical education in Russia is its affordability.

The exhibitions showcased leading Russian universities of the RACUS group that are especially in demand among Indian applicants, including Saratov State Medical University, Astrakhan State Medical University, and the Medical Institute of Tambov State University, all well-known for their innovative programs and cutting-edge teaching technologies. In recent years, interest in the Veterinary Medicine program at St. Petersburg State University of Veterinary Medicine has also been growing among Indian applicants.

The events were attended by the Head of the Department of Asia, the Student Services Manager for Asian countries, and employees of the RACUS regional offices in Tambov and Saratov, highlighting the organization’s serious approach to developing international educational cooperation between Russia and India.

The exhibition tour will continue in other major cities of India, fostering greater interest in Russian higher medical education among Indian youth and reinforcing the position of RACUS group universities in South Asia.
