The cities of Ho and Sogakope, located in the Volta Region, play an important role in the development of education and healthcare in the southeast of the country. The city actively invests in building modern education and healthcare infrastructure. The growing interest in international education highlights the region’s strategic goal to train skilled professionals for key sectors of the economy, where there is an urgent shortage of qualified specialists.

According to Ghana’s Ministry of Education, national development priorities include strengthening the healthcare system, modernizing agriculture, and advancing infrastructure. These priorities were also reflected in the preferences of prospective students who visited the RACUS stand. The most in-demand programs included medicine, dentistry, engineering, civil engineering, and agronomy. Additionally, strong interest was shown in IT programs, aligned with the global and national trend of digitalizing core economic sectors.

Many exhibition attendees shared their future plans: they aim to study abroad, gain international work experience, and eventually return to Ghana to launch business projects with the support of the companies they collaborated with during their studies. Such “study-to-employment” trajectories are highly relevant for Russia, which actively welcomes international graduates considering its technological and economic development.

Russian state universities of the RACUS group offer future students a wide range of practice-oriented academic programs with affordable tuition fees. Guaranteed accommodation in student hostels, English-medium programs, and the international recognition of diplomas make Russian higher education an attractive and reliable choice for Ghanaian applicants striving for academic excellence and professional success in their home country.
