Algeria is a land where the wisdom of Berber ancestors still resonates to this day. Here, the aspiration for knowledge is seen as a continuation of a thousand-year-old tradition: just as knowledge was once passed from elders to pupils, today Algerian youth are seeking their way to the future through education. The universities of the RACUS group become an important part of this journey — serving as a modern extension of the cultural mission once carried out by ancient sages.

The year 2025 marked a milestone for the RACUS organization — exactly 30 years ago since the opening of its representative office in Algeria in 1995. Over the past three decades, more than 7,000 Algerians have received higher education at the universities of the RACUS group, becoming in-demand professionals — doctors, engineers, economists. Their path is a journey from the Aures and Tassili n'Ajjer mountains to international careers, that began with a dream and realized through Russian higher education.

The political background further underscored the the significance of the exhibitions. On January 30, 2025, Algeria held the 12th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, during which nine new agreements between Russia and Algeria were signed, including an agreement on the mutual recognition of education, qualifications, and academic degrees. This document ensures the mutual recognition of education documents issued by Russian and Algerian educational institutions. It paves the way for Algerian youth to pursue higher education in Russia and to start their careers in both Russia and Algeria.

Such programs as medicine, engineering, economics and shipbuilding — especially relevant for coastal Algeria, where education is becoming the foundation for the revival of the maritime sector — were of particular interest at the exhibitions. Knowledge, like a maritime compass, shows direction for Algerian youth in their pursuit of education — 20 universities of the RACUS group of Russian state universities are a guiding star for Algerian applicants.

Booklets and souvenirs found their way into hands like modern amulets, bringing not only information, but also hope and faith in the future. For many guests, the Study in Russia – 2025 stand has become a crossroads of the past and the future — where the heritage of the Atlas finds its modern embodiment in the university classrooms of the Russian state universities of the RACUS group. The representative office of the RACUS organization in Algeria invites interested applicants for a free consultation at the office in Algiers.
